Patio Decorating

When decorating your patio don’t overlook lighting and sounds.

One of the most enjoyable times to use your patio is on those perfect summer evenings. Put together warm breezes, the night sounds of crickets and cicadas, starry skies, the days work is done, and you have a perfect atmosphere for relaxation.

Be sure to consider lighting in your patio decorating plans. Placed Candles in strategic spots such as in wall scones attached to the house or fences, or in candle holders placed throughout the patio area add to your perfect space. White lights strung throughout the trees or the addition of walkway lights also add a glow to the area. If you have outdoor lighting installed add a dimmer to keep that perfect evening glow.

If your patio is big enough consider adding a free standing fireplace in your patio decorating.. In these days of free standing fireplaces and portable chimeras, it is easy to find one to fit your patio decorating style and budget. If you find you want to add one of these to your patio, you will extend the use of your patio by quite a while because of the extra warmth provided by the fireplace.

Sounds bring pleasure to your patio area
For pure relaxing and cooling sound, nothing comes close to running water. A great patio decorating idea is to add a bubbling fountain, no matter what its size is always noticed and appreciated. The sound of water can be very relaxing. Or you can add a wind chime the tinkling sound of a wind chime can be soothing.

Do you have a pool in your yard? Consider installing a water fountain in it. Perhaps you’d like to have something even more dramatic, such as a waterfall attached to your pool. If this is too large for your budget, there are some wonderful fountains that come in all price ranges. Front porches are also great places to add a small fountain. These are especially great if you can hear the sounds in your home coming in from an open window. I’m sure you’ll find just the right item to add that restful sound to your surroundings.

With your light in place and your patio all decorate all you need is to invite some friends or family over and enjoy. It’s your special place whether it’s a large space or a small corner the size has no bearing. Inspire your creativity and have fun.
